The Noise in My Head represents the overwhelming thoughts, emotions and voices that can crowd the mind when living with PTSD, anxiety and trauma.

Each bird carries a different expression—confused, startled, worried, alert and exhausted—reflecting the many emotions that can exist all at once. Under normal light, the colours feel muted and heavy, but beneath UV light the painting transforms into something bright, energetic and impossible to ignore.

This piece captures what it feels like when the mind never becomes completely quiet, while also showing how darkness can reveal unexpected colour, personality and strength.
